Grids and the Culturally/Psychologically Significant Photo
NO 2020 SESSION CHECK BACK IN 2021
9:45 to 5:30 PM
Shoenfeld Santa Fe Studio
Approved for 7 CEU’s $175
With the repetitive structure of the grid as a basis, participants will create a series of images in response to a psychologically and/or culturally significant photo. Including “cultural” issues in this workshop is an addition as of 2018. This is in response to the major upheavals we have experienced related to immigration, funding for services, etc.
As the image is repeated, perceptions and visual boundaries shift. A variety of media will be offered for this evocative and creative investigation of how memory and imagination alter perception and imagery. No previous art experience required. We will work through lunch with a few short breaks, for snacks and beverages: remember to bring your lunch!
The Creative Process – Spring Cycle
NO 2020 SESSION CHECK BACK IN 2021
Approved for 7 CEU’s $175.00
Jane Shoenfeld Santa Fe Studio
For some, early spring inspires wonder, and identification with new life, creativity and a feeling that all is right with the world. For others the brevity and innocence of early spring evokes a sense of loss. There is a paradoxical quality to this supremely beautiful and all too brief season. Gathering inspiration by making art and (weather permitting) writing outdoors among budding trees and lilacs, we will explore how spring affects our energy, creativity, and insight. Art processes include collage, pastel drawing, and watercolor. Through the expressive arts, group interaction, and stimulating discussion, you will discover how the spring cycle is reflected in psyche as part of personal growth and change. Join us for this creative and fun workshop! No previous art experience needed.
Held on ZOOM – link will be sent upon registration

We will also address “best practice” issues related to dealing with the impact of the pandemic on ourselves and our clients.
“Coupling ethical issues with situations in nature is a brilliant, helpful and refreshing direction for viewing ethical dilemmas.”
“Working with a specific ethical issue from my practice was so helpful and the final collage with the combination of nature and dilemma in visual form was terrific.”
